Our Staff
at Affiliated Mental Health Programs are
highly qualified mental health professionals, with significant
experience and training. Their main concern is the health and quality of
life for the client. The staff of AMHP supports the right and need of
our clients to live the fullest lives they can.
Care Coordinators
provide case management, counseling, and community based support services. Our
Care Coordinators have Masters level professional degrees. They receive on-going
intensive individual supervision with the Clinical Director and peer
consultation at two clinical staff meetings each month.
Staff is assigned to clients
based on expertise and the clients' individual needs. The AMHP Clinical
Director regularly supervises and consults with staff, and provides additional
support to clients and families. Each situation is different, and we seek to
tailor our
services
to the goals of our clients and their families. AMHP views
the family as part of the treatment team and whenever possible engages them in
relevant treatment providing support and direction.
Comments of a Care Coordinator
"We acknowledge the difficulties of
having a mentally ill relative. We recognize that mental illness has many
causes, and we take a supportive and non-judgmental approach to help family
members with their mentally ill loved one. We welcome relatives as active
members of the treatment team. When desired, we can provide family therapy to
help family members clarify goals, limits, and to reduce stress."
