We acknowledge the difficulties of having a mentally ill relative. We recognize that mental illness has many causes, and we take a supportive and non-judgmental approach to help family members with their mentally ill loved one. We welcome relatives as active members of the treatment team. When desired, we can provide family therapy to help family members clarify goals and limits and to reduce stress.
